Not so good if you are pulling out clumps of hair. Not only will you be dealing with scalp scabs, but also bald spots too. You do have a vicious cycle going, you need to break it some how. If you haven't tried a good scalp treatment, it might be time you do so. At least try using the bandanna method on your head whenever possible. It's a tough habit to break, but not impossible.... You do sound very concerned, so the best thing to do is tell your parents. Please go and explain this issue you are having with them.
